School board OKs school closures, mayor teams up with Alter to dial down code reform

I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more times: preserving single-family zoning in areas that are gentrifying or likely to gentrify does not "protect" existing residents from displacement. The only way new housing in those areas will serve those of modest means is if we allow multifamily housing to be built.
